DumpsterDiver gifted me this one years back. It is a first generation. I have swapped out the yoke to a "modern" one.... I continue to use it. Untold history and dive count.

OMG!!! I have DD's SP Classic poodle vest with a loop of 400# leader as a stringer still attached.

He and his stuff are 'classics' in both SB history and SP gear. Fun to know!

Soooo, I have an unnamed guy (@buddhasummer) looking for an MK2 for me as I've had no success. Is an MK2+ too newfangled compared to a basic MK2?

Newfangled as in way too modern to be 'righteous'.

Unless you are going real old school, the MK2/2+ is essentially the same....

Yeah, the real old ones are the just thing, but a mid era 2 that may have 2+ updates isn't sacrilege...
