Hey All,

Im looking at getting my first Reg and was looking at the Mk17/G250V any thoughts?

A little about me, I live in Canada so 99% of my dives will be fresh cold water. I will be going no deeper then 140 feet (for now). I might go Nitrox in the future but that's 4 or 5 years down the road.

Thanks for all your help,
Patrick

My G/F and I both own it and dive it here in the North east. It is a great reg. have had it almost 2 diving seasons and no issues. I also have a set of Atomic M1's I bought after and notice almost no difference beween ease of breathing. For me the Atomic seems to a be a drier breathing reg but thats me. For the colder waters you want something sealed. Very good choice, Hard to see but if you look at my avatar its there in the pic

Perfect for your diving requirements!

Thanks for the input, I just don't want to have it free flowing on me 60 feet under or getting it now and then when I go Nitrox down the road I will need a new reg.

Cheers,
Patrick

If I read your post correctly, you won't have either problem with the combination that you are looking at. Don't stress, it is a good combo.
