I attached my MK10 that I bought to my tank today. It made a sound like a slight leaking

Hi Mr.,

Welcome to ScubaBoard. Help us to help you by providing a little more information on the problem. Can you determine where the leak is coming from? It could simply be an o-ring on a hose or it could be something a bit more serious.

Take a bowl of soapy water (liquid dish soap) and brush or spray the pressurized regulator to find the leak and report back.

In the meantime, have a look at this checklist http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/regulators/346813-regulator-inspection-checklist-rev-7-a.html for a few more ideas.

Cheers,

Couv

If it's a slight hissing coming out of the mouthpiece, which is common, try screwing in the adjustment knob. If that doesn't help or it's already screwed in, your 2nd stage seat is likely a bit worn. That's about the most common wear item. But if you just bought it, you should have someone look at it who knows what they're doing, or you could learn yourself depending on your mechanical aptitude and interest level. It might need a complete rebuild (which is not rocket science) or it might just need a 2nd stage adjustment. Start with couv's checklist.
