Mini II card error?

To conserve battery life I will shut my Mini off while diving sometimes. When I turn it back on I get a "Card Error" message. I have to power it on and off quite a few times underwater before it resumes normal operation. What gives?

Sounds like the card has been corrupted and you need to format the card in the camera. Did you turn the camera off shortly after taking a photo?

If so, it might have been writing to the card when you turned it off. That's likely to messs it up.

Thanks Coop, I may have done just that. I'm back from vacation so I'll just reformat my card to be sure.
