SD card error only underwater at a certain depth

Hi all, I have a YI4K+ action cam with the original underwater housing. It works perfectly fine until I dive below 20m, then it says SD card error and stops recording or keeps recording but the files are corrupt. When I get back above 20m it resumes working flawlessly. I tried swapping SD cards but that didn't change anything.

Any Idea what could be the cause? It's obviously the pressure but I can't understand why and how.

I know it's an older cam but my budget has other priorities.

Sounds like the connections to the SD card are not fully making connection. Suspect the the water pressure is causing the housing to put pressure on the camera and distorting it.

I had a camera that did that. I put a different SD card in and it never happened again. I suspect there was some malformity in the card. No answer if you have tried that.
