Today was the Feb. chilly willy dive at Millbrook. We had the regular foolhardy divers but not as many as in Jan. All that were in attendance had a good day of diving. The temp outside today was a balmy 50 or so degrees...enough so that some actually got hot in their drysuit!
The dive Gods were not with us today as there were multiple problems(ie. leaks)of the "dry" gloves. I believe, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, all those that wore "dry" gloves today, actually had wet hands! We also had some forgotten equipment issues ...but hey...it's February Right?!
Vis at 25-30' was about 20' or so I'd say. I didn't make it to the bottom but those that were close reported good vis and water temps of 39coooooooold degrees. My max dept was at 67' and my Sunto Vyper recorded a temp of 43deg.
There was a warm fire burning on shore and some excellant hot cider!
I'm looking foward to next month's Chilly and invite all those who are itching to get back into the water for the year to come on out! :ice:
