After 18 months, Mr. Potato Cod and I will finally be diving again. We're heading to the Keys in August for a week and will be based in Marathon. Any recommendations on dive operators there or the nearby middle keys? We'd like to dive Looe Key as well as the Marathon area. We like a boat that's big enough to have a head and some shaded areas to stay out of the sun when on deck.

Favorite operators in the area?
That sounds like an exciting dive trip! After such a long wait, I'm sure you both must be thrilled to get back underwater. For your upcoming dive in the Keys, I recommend checking out boat rentals Florida Keys to ensure you find the perfect vessel for your adventure. In the Marathon area, you might want to explore options like Marathon Dive Center or Tilden's Scuba Center. They often offer trips to Looe Key and other fantastic dive spots in the vicinity.

When considering boat rentals, make sure to inquire about the size of the boat, as you mentioned preferring one with a head and shaded areas. Big Pine Key and Islamorada are also worth exploring for dive operators, as they are close to Marathon and offer unique underwater experiences.

Enjoy your dive trip in August, and may it be filled with amazing underwater discoveries and memorable moments! Safe diving!
