When you take a tech class you'll understand what I'm talking about. It's obvious you are young and have a passion for all things. That's good. But keep an open mind and don't be too quick to rule out something because you've only looked at it from one angle.
Why don't I and many others think aluminum tanks suck? For starters, they're nice and cheap and can be found anywhere. Secondly, in the great lakes an aluminum deco tank rides much better than a steel one. Therefore, while I prefer steel tanks for backgas, I prefer aluminum for deco gas. Hence, IMO, aluminum tanks don't suck, and in some situations, are preferable to steel.
