I see from a posting from a North Carolina diver that NC is offering SCUBA license plates. See http://www.ncdiveplate.com/ for info on the plates. Anybody interested in trying to get these authorized in Michigan? They could be used to raise money for underwater preserves. I would guess we would need a few hundred people ready to sign up to get them going. Current fundraising plates (for specific colleges and universities and other causes, such as water quality, lighthouses, etc.) cost $35 over the regular fees and $10 for a renewal. If you are interested, post here or PM me.

Tempting. I didn't go for the U of M one, but I might go for a scuba one if it was done halfway decent.

Got a suggestion? What would you think would be halfway decent? I don't really have anything in mind yet, just the basic concept.

I already paid the extra $$$ for a lighthouse plate for the truck, but I would gladly pay out the extra $$ for a plate for the car. Count me in!

Just a basic suggestion....Michigan's upper and lower peninsula as a dive flag....maybe that has already been done....
