Hard to believe that anyone searching for a "scuba diving forum" and enters those words in Google wouldn't know about this forum. It's the first thing that comes up.

They're not "searching" for anything. A lot of people just aren't into message boards period.
 
Agreed that the Michigan Underwater Preserves Council could/should do more to to promote diving in MI. Their annual booklets are well done, if not a little excessive. That said, I've never seen one outside of a dive shop or local scuba trade show, albeit, I haven't been to many trade shows, local or otherwise. And, as Rich S. and others point out, there is plenty of diving outside of the Preserves. I'm guessing that money and organization, or a lack there of, is the root of the problem. I offer no solutions, just my observations & opinions. Where's that weatherman when we need him? ;) Safe diving.
