I have seen several articles about it on Facebook as well as BBC and Huff post. Kudos to Mexico for this designation in the Revillagigedos Archipelago!
 
i wonder how it affects the liveaboards? Probably not much except no more fresh fish tacos inside the boundaries...:wink:

It should be protected against fishermen, there's giant Tuna there as well as lots of sharks, Whalesharks and Mantas so finning was a concern. My buddy dove there with the hammerhaeads, they pretty much ignored him as they're indifferent to the few divers they see weekly - I like places like that.

google Socorros Islands, it's the same place.
 
Congrats to Mexico, hopefully they can actually enforce it against the likes of the aggressive Chinese fishing plague!
