OK.. now I'm really getting the "dive Thailand bug". You can't imagine how helpful you all have been in getting me started on this venture. The good news is I think we can actually put this together!! it's seeming easier now.. The bad news is.. the more I learn, the more I want. You all mentioned Similans and Richelieu Rock. They sound awesome and will definately be part of our trip.. but I've been reading about the Mergui Archipelago and the Andamans and the idea of new waters is really tempting me. One of the boats is going to do a 10 day up there and use some of the days to check out possible new dive sites. It's making me drool and the price is making me sweat!! Is it worth it folks???

Like others we dove the Similans last year and have already booked for Mergui/Burma with the same op. They say that Burma can be fantastic, more big stuff, but conditions and viz can be very inconsistant.
