I know from searching that there is NO diving within a decent distance of Memphis. I have exactly one day to spend while my husband is otherwise occupied and wouldn't mind getting some dive time in. Is it worth it to drive to Heber Springs for maybe one or two dives (or possibly get a ride since it looks like one shop does a weekly trip)? Can I rent equipment there or should I rent it from a shop in town (and if so which one?) since I all I have is a BC and snorkeling gear, and also, does anyone know which shops are SSI? I'd love to see if I can get a referral to do some of my specialty checkouts (Nitrox, especially!) in warmer water than what I get up here in Ohio, where below the thermocline stays 50° year-round.

I just thought of this like .. an hour ago, and we leave for Memphis in the morning. We only have three days, hubby has to be back at work at 10:30 pm Sunday, but he's got some training he has to do that will take up all day Saturday.
