Hi everyone,

I was told that the GLWC was the place to go for this sort of thing. I am in dire need of a dive buddy this weekend at Gilboa. Seems most of my regular buddies have decided to stay dry. I know the weather is supposed to be questionable on Saturday, and that will be a determining factor. If anyone is already headed down there and wouldn't mind a tag along, I would be greatly appreciative. Any questions or concerns PM me and we'll get it figured out.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Don,

Ordinarily you are right, this is the place to post this type request. I can't speak for everyone on here, but I'm not diving this weekend due to the holiday, got to spend some time at home with my wife.

I will be going periodically through the year, however.

Oh, and BTW, as a professional navigator from the Air Force (now retired, however), I strongly disagree with the last half of your quote. Some officers are great with maps (except in flying we called them charts).

No disrespect intended Sir! And I appreciate the reply. I was active duty in the Navy for 8 years and am currently serving in the Army. So I am familiar with both "charts" and "maps". Its a running joke for us NCO's in the Army and the junior office corp. A "Butter Bar" will get you lost in the woods every time.

I dive Gilboa and White Star quite a bit during the summer, when I am not headed north to Lake Huron. So hopefully sometime this summer we may have the opportunity to dive together.

After my father served 27 years in the AF, my sister 20 in the AF, I served 27 in the AF, my son went in the Army, and my daughter in the Navy. Don't know what I did wrong. And, BTW, all of them (but me) enlisted, so I know both sides.

I dive quite a bit at Gilboa, I like White Star and go when I can, but it is an extra hour driving each way, so don't get there too much.

Looks like I'll be at Gilboa the next 2 Saturdays.
