I'm interested in a two-tank high-tide shore-dive on Monday, the 29th.

My thought would be to meet at the Burger King at noon on Monday and go to Folly Cove, or maybe Cathedral Rocks. I think these are the only places to find 60+ FSW from the shore on Cape Ann.

Who's in?

Just wondering - why are you specifically looking for 60+ FSW? There's a lot to see at shallower depths on Cape Ann.

No big reason in seeking deeper water - but I do love Folly Cove, and I've never done Cathedral Rocks. Shallower dives are good too... whatever works!

I would enjoy getting back to Folly Cove. Only been there once before for night dives and at low tide. Will never do it again at low tide!

Thanks again Duff. I recorded max depth at 45' with average temp at 45°. Good thing I had the new hooded vest or that temp would have hurt! I'm envious of you dry suit divers.

I got the same temp/depth. I would est. the vis. (generously) at 8-10', which (to me) is so-so for Folly.

I'll admit that I felt a lot warmer (this time) than with my 7mm in 45 degree water. However, I still feel like a moron in a drysuit after 3 dives in it, and I was missing the simplicity and flexibility of the wetsuit. Dry s just a whole different animal than a wetsuit - far more variables. The next dive I do is going to be BOOORING, because I am gonna do nothing but work on controlling this thing, and figuring my weighting down to a science.

More next time.
