I know what you mean, when I first started diving in 98 it seemed like there were so many meet and greets and group dive's it was just hard to attend them all, now it just seems like a thing of the past.

I am itching to dive. I am a super noob and want to get started strait away. Why don't we make our own event. Something simple and easy for people in the area to attend? I don't know the area that well but there must be something!

someplace around tampa?

say 10 A.M. to keep the college students happy?

I could probably get some of my college dive club buddies to show up.

I would be into it + my 2 non forum dive buddies.

Weekends are wide open for me so anytime is dive time.

Still up for it?

Where?

I don't own a boat, so I look for shore dives, and I havent found any in tampa, or I'd be there every weekend.

Lake Denton is the closest to me that Know is pretty decent, but once you've dived it, you've dived it.

I'm up for anything, let me know.

Is Spanish Rocks very far? Supposed to be ok. I also want to try spearfishing under one of the bridges...Gandy or howard franklin.

Never done spearfishing, according to youtube (right...) spanish rocks looks pretty cool, I'm definatly down to try and find it, has anyone done it before?
