I think we should definitely shot for the 9th. The cook-out sounds like a great idea. That way we could hang out and get in quite a few dives. If all goes well we could also plan for one day the weekend of the 16th.

Man, I would like to go on a group dive, but it would have to be the dead end of the month. I'm at DEMA then going to dive in Bermuda til the 24th. Let me know if there is a get together after that.

So, how about "BYOB" (bring your own burger) and we can grill burgers, dive and whatever. I would volunteer to bring the grill and stuff but due to possible last minute work demands I can't be certain of making it until the last minute.
Mel, would Mary and Dirk be able to join us or are they in a class?

I heard from Joe today and he is passing up the quarry for some NC offshore diving! Can you believe that? All I can say is he's going to miss a good time and some awesome 4ft vis. He did say he could do the 16th too so if we have fun on the 9th we can meet up again on the 16th. Herman, I talked to Mary today and Dirk won't be diving with us that day. Mary FINALLY registered on SB today so her name is Mary M. I told her to try and get online tonight if possible and check out the board. So far I think it's just you, me, Mary, and Jason (bubble blower). Maybe by next Saturday we'll have some others join.

sorry herman as other stated 9th I am out on deep blue ocean unless it weathered out wont , that be shame if it does guess I be at the quarry then LOL .
but as other stated the 16th or even the 23rd would be good too .

I'm totally in favor of a semi-routine get together! I don't know if I can make the 9th, due to some child care considerations, but I'll try! I'm open, right now, the last weekend. I also vote that it could be quarry or off-shore (given logistics, $$$, timing, etc.) diving. Personally, if we could come up with date every 6 weeks or so??? Like most (I guess) the further in the future, the easier it is to hit a date. Geeze - is this what a club is like??

well I am putting together a spring dive for late May early June this weekend , will be on big boat its 65 feet so plenty of room , fast and plenty of dive room , will post more after this weekend .will more than likely be one deeper dive and one shallow dive so everyone can dive.
I will also have several dive masters and at least one instructor so, any open water still will be allowed, and this is what I and few friends and boat operator have come up with so far. I have been out on this boat many time , and to be honest I think it better than discovery , Olympus and most others I have been on they are totally safety oriented, well I post more as I get it done. Time for us as a group to get together maybe we can do a poll on location and date for soon.

The spring trip is a little far in advance but if I'm around you can count me in on the trip. Would you be diving off of Wilmington or Morehead? If you decide to chose Wilmington a friend of mine owns a hotel at Wrightsville Beach. I could get him to block off some rooms for us if you want. Once it gets a lot closer I guess we can talk about it more then.
Also, I agree with NCDiver2004. I think we should plan to get together more often as a group and dive. Maybe during the winter we could plan a trip to the Florida Springs area for a long weekend. I did it in February and it's not that bad of a drive.

Medic13, I'm down for it. Sounds like a good time. All my NC wreck dives are Morehead so a Wilmington area dive would be nice.
I'm wanting to hit the Texas flower gardens this summer. Maybe we could get a trip up for something like that. It's not a real expensive trip and includes a lot of diving.
We definitely need to keep some sort of gatherings happening.
So far this thread has had 244 views...any lurkers need to post on up and join in. None of us here know each other, no need not to join us. All divers welcome.
