I recently purchased an HP tank with a working service pressure of 3442 (237.3 Bar). I currently have the ZX 50D with Yoke which says 232 Bar (3364.8 PSI) on the Yoke part. I would assume that the max I can fill my tanks to now would be 3364. If I convert my reg to DIN (using Zeagle DIN kit - 345-1010), would the first stage be able to handle more than 232 Bar?

Greg

You could dive HP every week on these regs and they will be just fine as long as you stick to your annual service schedule. The 1st stage is more than capable of handling the pressure. I use true 3500 PSI tanks that can sometimes creep up to 3800 or 3900 on a hot day in the sun. I have no worries that my 50Ds will handle it.

Make the DIN conversion and dive away on them. :D

Thanks, just out of curiousity, is there a max pressure rating listed on the DIN part as there is on the yoke?

DIN is marked 200 or 300bar. You should be fine with the yoke.

Hey gibby z, would those hot summer days be at Amigo's fill station? Mysterious how that heat at Amigo's seems to make tanks go to 3800-3900 psi. :D

Well, the answer to your question is yes. It refers to the number of threads and the pressure. A 300 bar has a couple more threads than a 200. So you can use a 300 in a 200 but not the other way around.
There is actually no need to change the yoke. If you want to then great but it isn't going to blow up or apart...it's only 78psi.
