Maui Monthly - Airport Beach 8am March 4

Inviting all Maui SB members (including those visiting from anywhere else) to our first (hopefully) Monthly Dive/BBQ

In an attempt to grow the Maui SB contingent and for some fun times getting to know each other we'll be planning on doing this the first Saturday of each month. Locations to be announced.

Place: Old Airport Beach - Lahaina
Date: Saturday, March 4, 2006
Time: 8am-2pm
Who: SB memebers & their families and friends. (as the MFOTL sign says "members and non-members only")
What: Diving and Lunch
Bring: Gear, tanks & covered dish for potluck (preferable with something inside the dish)

Look for the dive flag on the table - will attempt to "claim" the pavillion...

Post your comments and what you'll plan on bringing so we don't have 10 people show up with a pot of rice (though we could make lots of SPAM musubi with it )

I'll be bringing a 6# bag of Costo skinless, boneless chicken breasts that have been marinated in soy sauce. About 15 pieces.

I'll get back to you later on the potluck dish.

Weather was WINDY ... but just a little mist in the air. Vis was around 30ft, not the best for airport beach and we had a bit of a current, still the three of us had a nice dive for 57min. Howard4113 took a bunch of pictures down below and Charlie99 took topside photos. I'm sure they will both be posting pics later.

I was thrilled just to get back in the water, it had been 3 weeks and I felt a bit awkward for the first few minutes getting my "sea legs" back.

We didn't have kool aide, but we did have lemonaide, bbq pork steaks, chicken, potato salad, chips & salsa
