Hello,Hi,
- not sure if you know about this but then there are others reading on here who might find it interesting -
"Marsa Alam" is an area of 100 km along the sea that stretches from Marsa Alam International Airport down to Wadi Gemal ! Marsa Alam , 60 km south of the airport, is a small town not particular interesting , Port Ghalib newly created holiday resort is near the airport , also have a look at El Quseir interesting local working town with +-10 interesting hotels in the area all with their own dive centre (Pharaoh Dive Club, British run)

St. Johns is to far away from Wadi Lahmi to be reached in a day.As an update, I have emailed the 3 dive centres in Wadi Lahami (there is nothing more South than that), unfortunately none of them offer day trip to Saint John reefs.
This is what we figured too, so I'm now trying to see if there are any mini safari from Lahami / Hamata to Saint JohnSt. Johns is to far away from Wadi Lahmi to be reached in a day.
for next time ; Wadi Lahami comes under the Hamata - Berenice areaThis is what we figured too, so I'm now trying to see if there are any mini safari from Lahami / Hamata to Saint John
Thanks for the clarification, indeed we are still learning the map of Egyptfor next time ; Wadi Lahami comes under the Hamata - Berenice area
Thank you. Unless we find a mini safari departing from Hamata, I think we will skip Saint John as I don't survive very well on boats ...It all comes down to your personal preferences. I myself are a fan of doing LoBs and I do like St. Johns, but have also had great dives in the Fury Shoals.
