I've calendared this event in hope a few more may be interested in coming out.

This made for an excellent day. :multi: I was blown away at how huge this thing was. I had no idea it would be as big as it was. All the hands-on stuff w/ the animals was just awesome (rays, sharks, octopus and more). Then there was the face painting, laminated pics for magnets, etc. The alligator was really cool.

I was also impressed with the knowledge of the staff and volunteers, let alone their patience with all the kids. I learned a few things myself.

I had five kids in my group that were pooped by the end of the day and we even skipped floors three and four.:11:

Kudos to you and your group Nancy for putting on such a fun, informative event :yelclap:

Now about those monster stone crab claws and the lobsters that need eating...

Oh and I finally met Git-r-duns beautiful family. EANDiver, The assistant warden has grown like a weed. Hope she is feeling better.

I second the fact that this was a great event. The little ones had fun and fell a sleep in the truck on the way home. You can't beat that. It was very cool that they had the animals out like that. Petting the gator rocked. That was something you don't get to do every day. We had to cut floor three and four short as well. I was pooped and tired of walking. Miss D it was good to see you and I'm glad you got to meet the boss. EAN sorry we missed you. Maybe next time.

Very glad to hear that you enjoyed the day. It's a huge effort, but so worth it. In the 14 years that we've had this, I think yesterday was the most crowded. And I don't know who enjoys it more...the kids or the adults. :)

Great to finally meet you, Miss D and EANDiver! Sorry to have missed git-r-dun diver.

That was a really great event! There were tons of things to do and see and it was so busy I even had to stand in line to meet Oceandvr :) Nice finally meeting you and putting a face with a name.

Sorry I missed you and yours Ken but darn there were a lot of people! It took me 15 minutes to find MissD and that was by luck and yes the AW is growing like a weed. She's been fighting a stomach virus for a week now and lasted longer than I thought.

The one really important question I have is:

Was git-r-dun better behaved at MarineQuest than at Bennigans?

Yes he was. I have to be good for the little ones. They can never know that Dad acts like a nut when he is in public.
