I still buy the yearly CONANP Conservation Passport which covers the marine park permits.

I wonder why I've never heard this mentioned before. I blow past 18 dives every time I'm there, so this could have been saving me some bucks. In your experience do dive ops honor this and not try to charge you the wristband fee after you show you've got this passport?

I can't speak for every dive shop but the few that I use honor the year pass without any issues. They take the wristband fee off my bill.
