This is my first post but I've been lurking for several months. I'm considering purchasing the Mares Abyss 22, but I recently came across a new old stock Mares Voltrex second stage paired with a new Mares Abyss 22 first stage (with the Tri-material valve). The Voltrex comes new with warranty from an authorized dealer, and it appears to be a good deal. I was hoping that a Mares expert could clue me in about the functional differences between the Abyss and the Voltrex second stages. One source, which I consider reputable, has told me that there really aren't any meaningful differences between the two, but I know that scubaboard has its resident Mares experts, so I thought I'd run this past ya'll as well. Thanks for any light you might be able to shed!
