I noted that on the Mares site it says that this regulator is not nitrox compatible. Other places on the web there are comments that literally any regulator can be used with nitrox with O2 upto 40%. Any idea if this is true? Why is the Prestige 12 not nitrox compatible? Infact, almost all of the Mares line (except 2 or 3) or not nitrox compatible, including the Abyss 42. I find this odd as some of these regs are almost $1000 list (Mares Carbon 42) and do not support nitrox
My second question is if Nitrox is even needed with single tank diving. Does a single tank of air at that depth (say 80+ feet) have enough air to last that long?
