Mares open heel fins....size?

Hi im sitting with the fins on now size XL, using a 5mm boot (size44) and 1,5mm socks. It seems to fit very well not preasuring any place but still keeping a good fit on my WHOLE foot, not just in the horizontal og vertical direction. but still able to feel that my foot can "breathe" It feels very comfortable. But as im not very experinces with open heel fins i can tell you they feels like my Mares Volo Race fullfoot size 44-45 using 1,5mm socks.

I think i got an 44 in the length of my foot but as my feets are very "lumpy" with a high wrists in somehow maybe inbetween the size regular and size XL.
