Mares Instinct 12s and Instinct 52 1st stage in UK water??

Hi, very new to scuba diving an looking at my first regulator purchase. I like the looks and feel of the Instinct 12s an Instinct 52. I would like to know if these regulators need the cold water kit to be used at UK inland and offshore dive locations.

Can you advise please?

It probably would need an enviro seal if used in fresh water during the winter......below 8-10 degrees is the usually quoted number.

Not that there's anything wrong with the Mares, but, you should also consider Apeks especially as they are excellent cold water regs and made just down the road from you in Blackburn.
