Many threads can be found, do a search. Bottom line is that it's an overly complex contraption.

Oh no he said the H word!! Actually he can't search for just "HUB" (now I need to clean my key board) since it is a 3 letter word and the search function requires a minimum of 4. Mares or HUB* should work. Narrow the selection down by going advanced and select the BC forum.

To paraphrase what spectrum said...buy some good gear!!

Had a lady ring the shop today to ask if we could service her HUB.

I told her we could but it would be about $3-$350 dollars.

I heard a loud *thunk* over the other end of the phone...then a pause.. then the sounds of someone dusting themselves off... and then she came back on and said she knew she shouldnt have listened to the ****er in the shop that convinced her it was the best invention since sliced bread.

scubadude, imho it is an over-priced, over-complicated solution to a
non-existing problem which limits your options too much

the modular (build as you go) approach is by far the better one
as it offers more flexibility for your changing dive needs and/or
environments

We used to carry them at the shop I worked for. To me the weak link in the system was the reg itself.

I have one that I've used happily for the last few years, but I've just purchased a Zeagle Ranger. One thing I love about the HUB is the Airtrim feature, which allows you to adjust your buoyancy without having to find your quick inflator or perhaps raise it over your head.

It's a good BCD, but it is a bit heavy for traveling and I wish that it had more room for pockets. I never had a serious problem with the BC, and had it serviced for about $80.00 last year.

Just my 2 cents.

Talk about night and day. :D

I couldent search it, I was wondering why the guy at the shop was so quick to try to sell it to me
