Just ordered a Mares Abyss octo from sportextreme.com as this model is not available in Singapore. Order made approximately 2 weeks ago, but no delivery so far and no payment made on my credit card as well.

I've wrote them 2 emails over last week, but no reply from them so far. Order status shows "Awaiting delivery" even though their website indicates that stock is available.

Has anyone deal with them before? Are they reliable? What should I do? Please advice if there are any other online sites I can place an order for the Abyss octopus 2004 model.

Thank you.

I have never dealt with them, but I can tell you that the Abyss is undergoing a change. Mares tells us that the internal workings are the same, it's that the 2nd stage cover is changing. As such, stock of the older style is dwindling while the new one is coming up.

There was a rumor that the Abyss was going away, but this is not true...

Hope this helps...

Have heard from another post a couple down from this one, that they have also not yet delivered. I would try calling. It is alot harder to ignore than an email.
