AFAIK, the Abyss had only cosmetic changes. Just like when the 2nd generation came out in 2000, it were only cosmetic changes as well.
BTW, I think the new Abyss is one ugly sucker, I prefer the Abyss 2000.

What the conical seat always standard or is it still an upgrade. I am pretty sure it was on the 2000. Not so sure about the new guy.
