Hi Scuba Buddies -

We went out on our second trip with Rainbow Reef Dive Center this morning. The seas were actually FLAT CALM :D I was beyond happy with the conditions after all the recent issues we've had with wind!

We chose to follow the guide this morning, and were rewarded by having some really cool stuff pointed out to us. They know I like to find the small stuff, so our sweet guide Megan made sure to get my attention and point out several nice specimens to me. My favorite was the beautiful Sea Goddess. Captain Dean is spoiling me and helping me live up to the "Diva" moniker...today he warmed me up between dives with the nice on-board warm water shower

Today we dove Eagle Ray Alley and Fire Coral Cave. The dives were nice and relaxing, but COLD...my computer showed 72 degrees :( I still managed with my skin and 3 mil shorty. That's about my limit...

Here are a few pics. We're looking forward to one last dive trip tomorrow... 1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg4.jpg5.jpg

That's awesome thanks for sharing!

I'm glad it laid down for you... March can be brutal with the winds down here. I hope we have similar conditions this weekend while we are down there.

nice report and pics! we elected to pass and let the dust settle this am as viz was reported on MO @ 45FT by OD @ 0900. plan on diving the duane/bibb(current permitting) followed by shallow molasses(most likely northstar/winch hole/logans run, as we've observed reef sharks on nearly every dive on those sites) tomorrow. maybe we'll see you out there,,,,,,

how was the visibility? current?

Great pictures and dive report.... thanks! but 72 degrees and a 3MM: that's cold. Brrrrrrr. We've had similar temps in Jupiter and I've been donning a 7MM.

It's a hormonal thing  I was a little chilly at times, but not chilly enough to skip the second dive!

It was about as you reported...approx. 45 ft. The second dive was somewhat improved - probably 55 -60 ft. We knew it wouldn't be the best, but it was certainly better than not diving at all. We don't have the luxury of waiting for a better day. Tomorrow is the last chance :depressed:

Oh...and the current was mild. Overall good diving!

We are diving with Rainbow Reef on Friday and Saturday. Will you guys still be down there then?

Love the Nudibranch. Was that one or two?
