Comments: Great dive. Entry wasn't as easy as I thought it would be - with some surge happening on the west side of Long Point. It looked like a lake from the top of the cliff. Vis was pretty good at start of dive, but turned fantastic as we moved further east. Surge/current seemed to disappear completely. I remember looking up from 30' and clearly seeing the kelp on the surface blocking the light. Saw the usual suspects, and a really old looking, large treefish. Another great dive at Long Point. Next stop, White Point?? Hope these conditions stick around, I'd love to hit Laguna this week...

Comments; Nice Canyon dive. Viz was decent. Buddy had an HID so I relied on my twin Q40 spotters for photography. Wouldn't want these as your primary light :-) Very few squid eggs, no squid. Several different types of nudis, baby horn shark, sarcastic fringehead, couple baby rays, round and thornback. Huuuuge brown shrimp, some target shrimp, lotsa crabs and such.
