mapping deadhenge: the way to Deadman Reef

Old thread, but still the best place for this I think.

I was digging up information on Deadman's reef in preparation for diving it, and I think Deadhenge showed up in the 2008 NOS hydrographic survey of the area. See map below, a colored-relief and hillshaded plot of the northeast edge of Deadman's. There's a 40 m long reasonably-straight ridge visible in the topography, almost exactly in line with DiveNav's coordinates (SW point is a bit off). I'd have thought it a sounding artifact if I hadn't known there's really something there.

Map was generated from the H11880 dataset. Contour lines are every 6 m.
