Guys we are doing a mapating cave penetration in anilao on march 12 with bobby manas. all Pasaways with necessary certs can join us. Minimum of at least advanced nitrox certification. pm me for details.

Twomixdiver:
How deep inside?

max depth on the small crevice is 210 but we are only going to be in the 150-155 region on our 25% mix.

Ben_ca:
25%? Helium right? Careful guys.... don't push it... remeber theres nothing down there worth dying for

25% nitrox I think. Adequate I believe, as long as you don't go down to the 200 foot level. To get to that deeper level you would have to remove your gear, and hand hold it in front of you, to get through a tight restriction at 150 ft. . Definitely not a excercise for beginners.

In anycase, I would do the cave to 150ft. in manifolded doubles and a stage tank containing 50% nitrox for deco. Easy dive lasting for less than an hour.

does that cave go deep after that restriction?

does that cave go deep after that restriction?

They say it bottoms out at 220 ft or thereabouts in a large chamber. I haven't done it myself as I would only do this dive on Trimix ($$$$$$).

I would cost this dive at approximately 5 to 7 thousand pesos for helium and deco mixes.
