I know you stayed in the overwater bungalows on Manihi......but did you happen to see what the beach bungalows looked like??????

Yes, we checked out the beach bungalows as well. Remember that I have nothing else in FP to compare it to, since we stayed at a "high-rise" resort on Tahiti and the cruise ship the rest of our vacation.

To me, all the bungalows on Manihi were fabulous. I don't know if the garden bungalows had AC, I know the OW ones did not. For us, it wasn't necessary - as long as there was a breeze. Depending on what season you visit, you might be pretty uncomfortalble in the garden bungalows if all you have is a ceiling fan. The bugs can be viscious.

My advice - RELAX! This is a vacation in FRENCH POLYNESIA! What could be so terrible? You are joining a very small minority of people who will ever get to experience these wonderful islands. Sit back and enjoy them, where ever you end up!

Hi Susan

The funny thing was that last night while we were looking more at which resort to stay in on Bora Bora ..... I started to laugh....(Robin thought I had finally lost it!!! ut: )…. just like you said and I think I mentioned somewhere ...... no matter where we end up it will be Paradise on Earth .... Our dream come true!!!!

From what we have heard so far....we can go back to the Overwater....but for some reason the Travel company who our agent is putting this trip together through is still recommending the beach or garden bungalows.......I guess it just seems odd to us as they really push the overwater accommodations.....(I guess since they are considerably more money) I even remember when we started planning this 2 years ago, Robins eye caught the Overwater bungalows in FP and she was sold ... Tahiti was our Honeymoon destination!!!!.....(I was still thinking Fiji but I knew I wasnt going to win that one!!! At the time Robin wasnt a diver and it is a tad bit further ... not to mention crossing the International date line )

So .... you are so right about enjoying this area of the world!!!! STILL CANT WAIT TO GET THERE NO MATTER WHERE WE END UP!!!
