are manifold's for doubles universal? ie> will they fit 7 and 8 inch tanks, or do i need a manifold specially made for 8 inch tanks? I have a set of OMS 98's I wa't to double. and am thinking of a sea elite manifold.
Thanks

Generally speaking, yes. Its really the bands for the tanks that specify the distance. My tanks have either highland millworks bands (104's, al 80's) or Dive-rite (85's) and the manifolds are interchangeable. Now, I do have another manifold with a 'short' isolator that came from a set of 45's. It doesn't use the standard spacing.

As for the 98's, they should work no problem. I put together a set of 95's for a friend with the sea elite. Just don't scrimp on the bands. If you don't have them, look at XS scuba's. They just bought highland millworks.
