Manifold Doubles?

Why does the DIR community advocate manifold doubles versus fully independent (primary/secondary for each tank) doubles? I have not taken fundies but it seems the independent setup would be less error prone.

I just read that article and that guy's tone is what could give the *** comunity a bad name. Was that a private Email? If it was, then my appologies.

I believe it was a post to QUEST, the GUE email discussion list. So AFAIK it wasn't exactly a "public" posting, but he's said much worse things in public forums and lists
