Manado airport is closed until at least Wednesday, 01 May 2024. Reason is new eruptions of the Ruang Volcano, 100 kilometers from Manado.

Thank you @Indah for the update!
Following this closely as we will be traveling to Manado in 1.5 weeks time.
Hope things clear up soon *fingerscrossed*

We traveled by boat from Bunaken to Bangka this morning. Lots of ash along the way, a fairly heavy ash fall at Bunaken, and dusk-like all day, but hardly any ash at Bangka, and I was told there’s none at Lembeh so far. My surmise is MDC could be closed for several days.

ADDING: management at Murex Bangka told folks that MDC would may not be open for a Friday 3 May departure. Bunaken was slammed with heavy ash. Lembeh still ash-free.

When are you scheduled to leave?
