While convenient when only a single team is present, the odds of not having a continuous line out are high when that is not the case.

I was taught to cookie it when in use. Obviously not fool proof but better than nothing.

Honestly I think just making it a Tee would be a better option. It is far enough back that making it there would be outside Intro limits and intro divers entering a Martz would already be prohibited from connecting the lines so a Tee wouldn't change anything.
