I have had my stinger for a few years and got my dad one so he made an adjustable tool to remove the battery which is very easy. Here are some pics if anyone would like one made by him or for reference. Thanks.

Do you have a manual, and what kinda battery does it use? It'd be cool if you did because I'm thinking of picking up a Stinger in the very near future! How do you like the Stinger?

It uses a standard watch battery. Tool spins off the face to easily change battery. Love the Stinger...great computer.:D

Don't they replace o rings and do some required service when you send it in to get the battery changed?

I have an O-ring that gets changed with the battery that I ordered online.....yes they do a pressure check at the factory but if you have technical/mechanical ability you can easily change the battery with no trouble. I am not worried about doing a pressure check. Do a search and see they are quite a few people here that do it themselves. For the $80 they charge to change it or the $6 it costs me I will take my chance by doing it myself.

Hi I know it was a long time ago can you remember the Allen bolt size you used and the measurements cheers

The original poster was last on SB in 2008.
