Where are you now, in Philippines ????

Sounds like Anilao is the way to go compared to Cebu area.....Information on dive resorts in Anilao seems hard to come by, and I need to be able to find pure oxygen. It also seems as if diving may be less expensive in Anilao but the resort stay is more.

Some of these places in PG are $30 a night for aircon excluding diving.

Also it seems as if there is way less to do other than diving in Anilao compared to PG. I don't even know if there is any town in Anilao like PG has....

Personally I would rank the diving in the Cebu area above Anilao. However, it will require more travel to get to the good spots in the Cebu area vs just staying at one resort in Anilao. As you said, it's pretty boring in Anilao. Other than dive, eat, sleep... not much else to do there if you're not there with a group of friends.

Just my two Korean won...

I hope you won't get bored in Sogod with your room mate...

Thanks guys.. looks like I'll have to see PG for myself later this month and then do Moalboal/Alona Beach after Christmas. Will appreciate any recommendations on where to stay and who to dive with in Moalboal.. :)

cheapest dive in moalboal is with nelson. 500 pesos a dive. downside is he tries to fit 3 to 4 groups in one big bangka.

That's really cheap, which diveshop is it in Moalboal? Personally, I dont have a problem with a full boat, as long its not overloaded.
