I hope so. I still haven't replaced it so I will be waiting on the boat to see if you come up with it to see if I can do the second dive or not. :D

I was wondering that same thing DivingGal!! I would like to do a short penetration dive in the Cedarville if we can get approval from the dive operator.

With you buddy? sure.... You should see all the new toys I have now. If you're still interested in the U/W archeology stuff, remind me to bring it along closer to the date.

I'm still definitely interested in the UW Archeology stuff. Would be nice to set up a trip to volunteer on an UW dig.

Approval from them why?

Some one mentioned in an earlier post that all you can get there is air. If I were to go I could bring O2 if they would top it. I even have a hyper-filter so they don't have to worry about being blown up. LOL I could even bring tanks already full. Doing them on air doesn't make a lot of sense.

Jim, since you mentiones penetration, how long do they give you for a dive? Do they have a no-deco rule or anything?
I usually like to get a good look at a wreck from the outside before going in but if I do go in it's nice to be able to do a good dive.

Mike,

I will be diving with that operator on the third of June. I will let everybody knows if he has any limits involving these types of things. I should figure it real quick as I am going up there with doubled 100's and a stage bottle with EAN50, lol. I would expect that JBD already knows if dove with them last year, though.

I talked briefly with the operator last year when we were there and I knew then that I would like to do longer dives then the tables allowed. As I recall he doesn't mind if the deco times are short i.e 20 minutes but he doesn't want to have the boat tied up while people are doing long deco. This was a very informal and brief conversation so I would want to check with him before committing him to something. Also last year we were strongly but politely warned away from doing penetration dives on the Cedarville. I think that this would be another thing that we would need to talk to him about ahead of time.

diverbrian--please give us a trip report when you get back.

Sigh.... another box to pack. Have you tried taking a course from NAS yet?
