Are they local or do you gotta pay for shipping too?
If you're going to pay for shipping anyway, I have some odd colored tanks I don't want... Yellow, Blue, Pink, Black (I think)

I'd let two go for 160 + $25'ish for shipping.

You mean back in 1993 they cost $120 new? I'd love to know where you can find a new 80 for $120 today. Best I see is $150 + $20 shipping.

With a year worth of free fills. And candy bars.... Damn, I'm getting old.

the $109 is for local pickup. i'd be willing to pay $25 to have both of them shipped because even though it's local it's still 160 miles roundtrip plus tolls that i'd like to avoid. you got PM.

I picked up three 80s and two 30s for $200 in Austin a few years back. I love when rich guys buy all the gear they can find the first week they get certified and then end up selling it all!

Seems a little steep for 20 year old tanks. you can get the same tank brand new for $150.

If i bought them for $90 each I'm sure I could resell for close to what I paid a couple years later.

$80 with fresh VIP and Hydro is appealing. My only reservation is the arbitrary black balling of 20 year old aluminum cylinders which is what you are looking at. I would make sure you understand the attitude of local shops about this. It's entirely possible that a shop will refuse to do a VIP next year of charge an outragous fee to make you go away.

You are offering at the high end of the used range so if you flip them it's apt to be at a loss.

Sillyness. Stories like that make me happy that the weak fail in this business.

I know but that's the way they do it. That shop by the way has been in business since 1960 and is one of the original scuba pro dealers. He has a very loyal following and his own quarry. Shallow but on site and rents nothing but steel tanks and only sells steels.
