I have a very large supply of Viton material. Both 1/32 and 3/32 I have no idea of the hardness. Do you experts think this would be suitible for LP seats?

Have you checked it against a low pressure seat to see what the differences are?
Its hard to tell from the pic.
I am looking for lp seats for Oceanics and have had no luck.
If its about the same hardness it would be worth a try.

Seems really close in hardness just by picking at it with a pick. I might just try it and see what happens. Its for my Personal regulator so I dont mind trying it and see what happens.

Looking at the photo, IF those lines are actual cuts/scratches in the material, they are way too deep to make the material of any use. I can't tell if they are actually in the material or just color variations. The 1/32 is too thin reguardless of it's suitability, the 3/32 may work.

lines are just shadows or something. After I seen the picture I went and rechecked under a magnifying light and they look good.

Then cut a few and give them a try. The worst thing that will happen is they will fail early or not seat at all. A slight freeflow is not a big deal on an easy dive.
If you want some field testing, there are several of us who make homebrew seats, send a small sample to some of the DIY regulars.
