How's it goin everyone i am new to scubaboard but have been diving for about a year now. I just bought a aeris dive computer and am in the process of buying a bc and regulator. If you have any suggestions on a good regulator let me know.
Thanks.

Aloha and welcome to the ScubaBoard!
You might want to check the Regulator Forum and post your question there. I'm sure you will get tons of qualified information over there.
Looking forward to reading more from you

I'd like to join the others in welcoming you to SB, and I do hope you'll enjoy your surface intervals here.

For more information on Regulators, I'll such you spend some time in that forum here. You may see my recent thread along a similar vein. PM me if I can help.

Hello from Matt,

Welcome to ScubaBoard ! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

Welcome to Scubaboard! You're really opening yourself up asking for advice on regs. You know what they say about opinions. Go check out the Regulators Forum

If I can just add my opinion...ScubaPro.

Welcome to the board and belated welcome to our sport. Yes, you will find lots of very informative forums (including forums on gear), and great & friendly people.

Asking for advice on brand/model will get you tons of responses, and you have to know that most of us give out personal preferences. In the end, you have to settle for whatever is most confortable, and also suits your needs and budget. I always suggest that you either join your local dive club and check out what the people there use, or go to as many dive shops as possible and try their products. Even if they do not allow you to try them in the water, they should allow you to slap a regulator to a tank and give it a dry run.

Good luck!

maria

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Where and how you plan to use your regulator in the future will have a lot to do with which one you settle on.

If you are going to dive in the warm waters of the Carribean no deeper than 60 ft, your choice may be different than if you dive in the icy waters of Lake Superior to a wreck at a depth of 250 ft.

As you figure out what you want to do in the future, you'll start to narrow this down a bit.

You also want to think about which reg will be the easiest to get serviced. If regulator X turns out to be your #1 choice, but no one in your area services that reg, then you may want to decide on your #2 choice if everyone locally is more familiar with it. You'll most likelly find that there won't much difference between the quality of your #1 and #2 choices anyway.

And, of course, as others have said. Check out our Regulators forum.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Welcome Aboard!!!

It's addictive, but who cares?!?!?

Good friends and good info. What could be better???

P.S. - If you have not already done so, please fill out your profile.

I would agree with those above, going to the Regulator forum, but I prefer my Atomic B2 reg. I know it was a little expensive, but putting it on layaway was worth it.
