If you find an XS Scuba brand weight belt, with 28 lbs of weight and #309 on the buckle, around Whalers cove, I know who lost it last weekend. If she can get it back and return it to the dive shop she rented it from, she won't have to pay for replacement of it.

I actually swam a search pattern in Whaler's Cove today (Thursday) looking for that belt, but without any more specific information than "somewhere in Whaler's Cove" it was a lost cause. Sorry...I did try. Perhaps you could give some more precise information about where that belt was dropped, and then somebody else may pick up the challenge and actually find it. I've brought weight belts back to MBDC from Whaler's Cove in the past...always good for a free fill!

Can you be a bit more specific? That's big cove. 28 lbs of weight?! Is she ok? Did she fly to the surface?

Hi Chris-
She dropped it from the surface. Will get more specifics on where.

Here is her description:

I dropped the belt about 400 yards out the whaler's
cove ramp-side edge of the cove, and about 35-50 feet
towards the middle or out from the edge. There is a
little group of pointy rocks, sort of the first
miniture island, I was just 20 feet to center and a
couple feet seaward of it.
