Lost in paradise, where to go ?

Hello there!

Been lurking around a while, time to make my first post..

Me and my GF are going to the Philippines the 21:th of December (not long now
We pre-booked 6 days on Puerto Galera - Atlantis resort.

OK, now my question..
Given these facts where do you esteemed Philippine divers recommend us to go ?
- We have two weeks more (after Puerto Galera) flying home from Manila the 12:th of jan.
- I visited the Cebu region (Malapascua, Moalboal, Bohol) don't want to go there again this time (must be more to see..)
- My GF is a quite new diver (OW might take the AOW in PG) Myself=divemaster.
- Looking for a relaxed place
- Would love to see some big stuff, sharks, mantas etc.

Been looking a bit at the Palwan area, good idea ?

I would love to hear your advise!!!

try apo island or balicasag, still in the cebu area though.

Coron palawan and subic bay for the WWII wrecks, and of course anilao which is just accross PG.

hey niklas, welcome to PPD. you're gonna love PG! and well, since Anilao(Batangas) is just fronting that island, you sure wouldn't want to miss it,too. (I will be in PG post-Christmas season (from the 28th), spending my new year there, would love to hook up with you guys if you are still around!)

if you want to try APO island, you can get a direct flight from MLA to Dumaguete, and then take a jeepney ride to Dauin where you can take a banca to APO Island.

...and Anilao will be perfect for you & your gf after your trip to PG. Sharks & rays are regularly spotted in some of the dive sites in Anilao now.
