Ken Kurtis:
Turns out she'd lost her eye when she was younger and the prosthetic eye she had would occasionally shift uncomfortably when she dove. On this dive, she tried to adjust it on the swimstep and, as she removed it, she lost her grip and it fell through the grate of the step.

You know you have been diving a long time when you have a story like that! Glad to hear she go her eye back! I wonder if she has to be more careful about mask squeeze.

Indeed! If anyone has or gets something like this mounted on their car, I'm interested in seeing how it looks, and how practical it is. For now I can take my key into the water with me, but it appears that more and more, these keys have electronic security remotes attached to them.

Great idea! With todays electronic car keys, this is a perfect solution. Thanks for the link, compudude!

You attach it UNDER your car. Hook the padlock portion into the towing attachment points that every car has for tow trucks to attach their chains. Near and just inside of the tires, I believe. Hangs unobtrusively under the car, out of sight ... and difficult to get to if someone wanted to cut it off. :) And even if they managed to cut it off, they still have to break into the box. Should be secure enough for all but the worst crime neighborhoods, I'd think.
