There's something wrong with that? I find it rinses much easier when the boat is moving.
Until it's jerked out of their hand. If you're going to do it, hold onto the mask with palm across the front and grasped firmly. The problem is some do it just holding the end, and lose their grip. I don't bother until I'm in the water.

I agree, not worth the risk. I don't find it all that hard to rinse a mask when the boat is stopped, so finding an easier method is not really a priority :)

I did it while moving.. we were going very slow so :dork2: I figured I would be OK.. Nope.. Never again. Lessen learned the expensive way. If I hadn't have been so embarrassed I would have spoke up and asked to hop in... I probably could have retrieved it.. Bad thing, my son did the same thing on our next trip..:shakehead:

Naturally. And that's just my pre-wash. I always spit and rinse again before I descend, unless it's one of those hit the water with BC deflated sort of dives.

You mean they aren't all BC deflated sort of dives? :cool2:

I wrap the strap firmly before dunking over the side. Lost a mask once, but not while rinsing...

I've seen more than one >$100 titanium dive knife spiral down into the abyss. The fact that they don't rust really helps the sunlight glint off the blade on the way down. :cool2:
