hi there,
I have a desperate situation that I was hoping you could help with or help
point me into the right direction.
My close friend was married 2 weeks ago and last friday her husband's boat
capsized on Francois Lake in Burns lake. They have a 4 year old and a 2
year old and she desperately needs to bring him home.
The RCMP has given up the search but they're asking for volunteers to look
for him. They think he's 100 FT down.
Any help would be amazing! Sharing this story for volunteers or any info
would be greatly appreciated.

Crews search for missing boater near Burns Lake

Search and rescue crews are scouring Francois Lake in B.C.’s interior
looking for a missing boater after a capsize Friday night.

Thank you,

I think the reason you have received no replies is that underwater search is notoriously difficult. If the SAR team has not been able to find the body, then it would only be by random chance that a volunteer diver would be successful. Most likely they would be covering the same bottom area, the most likely area, that the SAR team did to no avail. This is a tragedy and sympathies go out to her and her family.

Another reason might be the remote location. OP you might want to post this in the Western Canada regional forum as well. Good luck and condolences to the friends and family.
