I have been looking a lot lately at different shops in the area that offer training courses, and with my schedule the way it is I have been thinking private one on one training would probably fit better for me.

I work night shifts, odd hours and days so it makes regular class schedules tough.

Is this possible/recommended? Anyone know any shops, or private instructors in the area you can refer me to? *I'm leaning towards private instructors if possible, just my opinion that I may have more luck finding people a lot more interested in diving, sort of a mentor to get me started.*

I've been wanting to get into diving for years, but just haven't had time (member since 2002 here. :) ) But now I'm ready to jump in head first.

Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike, it will be quite a hike for you, maybe 3 hours in O.C. Maryland. The shop is called Pirate Scuba, owner instructor is Matt Turner. He does private instruction, maybe over the course of a long weekend getaway? The shop is on the net, drop him an e-mail.
